FARNWORTH and Kearsley’s first-ever Christmas market is coming in December.

BL4 Live has announced it will be hosting three days of the Christmas market for residents.

The market will be open in Higher Market Street, Kearsley on December 3, 4 and 5 from noon until 7pm each day.

It will feature a range of exciting Christmas festivities including a Santa’s Grotto, fairground rides, festive stalls and traders, singers and performers.

Gary Daniels, BL4 Live spokesman, said: “We at BL4 Live are really excited to be delivering Farnworth and Kearsley’s first official Christmas market.

“We are aiming to bring a variety of trading stalls, food vendors, bars, with live entertainment throughout the day to coincide with our Santa’s Grotto.”

Cllr Paul Sanders, Farnworth and Kearsley First councillor, said the market can be enjoyed by all ages.

He said: “This is amazing news once again for Farnworth and Kearsley. Who doesn’t love a Christmas market?

“There will be something for all ages to enjoy, from live entertainment, festive stalls, food and drink and Father Christmas. The organisers continue to work closely with local councillors and council officers.

“We wish BL4 Live every success and hope the people of Farnworth and Kearsley and further afield come out to support this special Christmas event.”

To join in the festivities, just head to Higher Market Street and entry will be free.

Stalls are not yet confirmed but BL4 Live has had an influx of interest. More updates are due in the coming weeks.

There will also be a festive drive-in cinema at Bolton Arena in Middlebrook on Saturday, December 11, and Sunday, December 12.

The Saturday showings include How the Grinch Stole Christmas at 5pm and The Holiday at 8pm.

The Sunday showings include Home Alone at 5pm and Elf at 8pm.
