FLOOD warnings have been issued for parts of Bolton.
The alert has been issued by the Environment Agency (EA) for the Upper River Irwell catchment with Oldham, Bolton, Rochdale, Haslingden, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall.
Flooding is possible for the Rivers Beal, Roch and Croal, Limey Water and their tributaries.
Other locations which may be affected are around Farnworth, Whitefield, Little Lever, Radcliffe, Bury, Heywood, Whitworth and Bacup.
A flood alert has also been issued for the River Douglas.
The EA urges residents to be prepared, avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
