THERE was plenty of Halloween fun down at the farm over the weekend.
Higher Tong's Farm in Smithills continued its tradition of hosting a special All Hallows Eve event for families to enjoy.
The farm is known for its Halloween displays as well as staging Christmas and Easter celebrations too.
Last year, Halloween was all but cancelled — but this year traditional celebrations were back on much to the delight of adults and children.
And many throughout the borough got into the spirit of the occasion, with houses around the borough decorated for Halloween, while children were back dressed up trick and treating.
And the farm put on a theatrical display with their very own headless horseman, a clown and a skeleton riding around on a horse.
The farm says it puts on the treat because it puts a smile on children's faces — as well as being fun for those who work on the farm.
The Halloween fun took place both Saturday and Sunday.
