AT LEAST one person received possibly life threatening injuries after a car crash last night near a popular country park.
Emergency services, including fire crews from Bolton Central and Horwich stations were called to the scene at Lever Park Avenue, between Horwich and Rivington at around 11pm on Saturday night.
There they found a road traffic collision had occurred involving one car.
Four people were in the car at the time, with at least one of them injured, potentially seriously.
The injuries are believed to be possibly life threatening, according to emergency services.
Fire crews remained at the scene until around 12.30am.
UPDATE: Police have now confirmed that a man was pronounced dead at the scene, while a woman and two children have been taken to hospital.
