A BOLTON Wanderers fan suffered facial injuries in an assault after the team's away game against Plymouth Argyle.

Devon Police are now appealing for information following the attack straight after the game on Tuesday, October 19, which Bolton lost 3-0.

Officers say the assault took place on the outer concourse outside the Lyndhurst Stand, soon after the final whistle.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident at around 9.45pm on the outer concourse outside the Lyndhurst Stand at Home Park.

“It happened shortly after the final whistle and resulted in a man sustaining facial injuries.

“If you witnessed the incident, or have any information that could help the police with their enquiries, call 101, or email 101@dc.police.uk, quoting log number 663 of 19/10/21.
