A full schedule of events is being held at the Trafford Centre's Barton Square in Manchester this weekend to celebrate its new name. 

Regular shoppers will know well where Barton Square used to sit, near Primark, Legoland and Sea Life. 

To celebrate the rebranding of the TraffordCity venue Trafford Palazzo, there will be a whole host of events on display this weekend. 

The weekend extravaganza is planned for November 20 and 21, with live music, dance shows and face painting.

There will be living statutes walking throughout the area with photo opportunities for visitors. 

The main Trafford Palazzo Show will take place at 2pm and 4pm on Saturday November 20 which includes an orchestra, acrobats and a breathtaking aerial display.

The Electric Dream show will take place twice on Sunday, featuring an electric violinist and ballet performance. 

Mark Whittaker, executive director of Peel L&P, owners of Trafford Palazzo, commented: “We are really excited about the launch of Trafford Palazzo and the spectacular event taking place.

"It is important to celebrate what has been an incredible transformation, as we introduce the Trafford Palazzo brand.

"We are looking forward to welcoming families from across the region to enjoy the celebrations and experience the new brand.”

The Trafford Palazzo has five million visitors per year and there are plans to expand the number of retailers with an Archies and Nerf AX experience coming in 2022.

  • 2pm – 2.15pm – Trafford Palazzo Main Show (Live vocals, dancers, band and acrobats)
  • 2.15pm – 4pm – Live Music
  • 4pm – 4.15pm – Trafford Palazzo Main Show No. 2 (Live vocals, dancers, band and acrobats)
  • 5pm – 6pm– Living statues walkabout and photo opportunities with cast members
  • 12pm - 5pm – Face Painting

Sunday

  • 1pm - 1.40pm – Electric Dream show 
  • 2.15pm - 2.55pm – Electric Dream Show (Set 2)
  • 3pm - 6pm – TwoTone DJ + Percussion show
  • 1pm - 6pm – Face painting
