A FIVE mile charity trail run has been organised by Bromley Cross man Matt Smith to raise money for Bolton Hospice.
‘Smithy’s Charity Trail Run 2022’ will take place on January 8, setting off at 11am from Egerton Cricket Club.
Organiser Matt, who lives in Bromley Cross, said he wanted to raise funds for the Hospice after his dad passed away from Motor Neurone Disease four years ago and spent the final six months of his life at the Hospice.
Matt said: “The aim of the race is to get as many people involved as possible, so it doesn’t matter what your fitness levels are, this is about raising money for Bolton Hospice.
“People don’t even have to run – they can walk, hop, skip or even jump their way around, as long as they enjoy it.
“The course will be fully marked and it is for a great cause, so I’d love as many people as possible to sign up and take part.”
The run starts at 11am, with registration open from 8:30am.
