A WOMAN who was caught drink driving after a row with her boyfriend has been banned from the roads for 12 months.

Bolton magistrates heard how Lisa Billington was over the alcohol limit when police found her behind the wheel of a Nissan Juke on Green Lane, Bolton, on January 23.

Ann Deakin, prosecuting, told how officers went to the scene after they received a call about a possible drink driver and found it parked by the side of the road.

Billington, aged 31, got out of the driver's seat and a roadside breath test was positive.

The mum-of-three, of East Drive, Salford, pleaded guilty to drink driving.

Martin Pizzey, defending, stressed that there had been no accident or anyone injured.

He added that, during the day Billington had been drinking with friends.

"She was not drinking to excess but there was a moment when there was an argument with a boyfriend and she decided to go elsewhere," he said.

"She made a miscalculation, feeling that she was fit to drive."

As well as the driving ban, Billington was fined £120 and ordered to pay £119 in costs and charges.
