A MAN who suffered from a severe curvature of the spine was found unconscious in his bed by his mother, a coroner has heard.
An inquest was opened into the death of 26-year-old Spencer Ronald Jordan at Bolton Coroners' Court.
Area coroner, Prof Alan Walsh heard how a post mortem was carried out but has been unable to determine the cause of Mr Jordan's death.
Police coroner's officer Tracy Harris told the court: "Mr Jordan was a vulnerable man who struggled throughout his life with curvature of the spine.
"On September 1 he was found unconscious on his bed at home by his mother."
She tried to revive him and paramedics were called to Winster Drive, Breightmet, but were unable to save him.
Ms Harris added that an investigation was carried out but there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
Prof Walsh adjourned the inquest until a full hearing on March 1 next year.
