A STOLEN car with fake number plates was seized in Bolton early on Friday morning.
Greater Manchester Police reported at around 7.40am on November 26 that the car had been found abandoned in Darcey Lever.
Officers from Bolton North Police had come across the stolen vehicle while out on a routine patrol.
A police spokesperson said: "Whilst out conducting mobile patrols PCSO 65005 Garbett discovered this abandoned vehicle on Radcliffe Road in Darcy Lever.
"Further enquiries revealed that the vehicle was an outstanding stolen and was being used on false plates.
"The vehicle has been seized and has now gone for forensic examination in an attempt to identify the offenders."
This comes not long after similar incidents of stolen cars being recovered.
Police have recommended members of the public to report non-urgent incidents by calling 101.
