Two members of the specialist Education Team at Bolton Hospice shared long-service awards after starting work at the hospice on the same day 15 years ago.
Vicki Guest Senior University Hospice Lecturer/Practitioner and Angela Egerton, Hospice University Lecturer/Practitioner, joined the hospice as newly qualified nurses and have worked together ever since their first day on 23rd October 2006.
The education service at the hospice offers a range of short courses to the in-house workforce and local professionals, addressing areas such as communication and care needs in end of life and wider palliative care.
Vicki said: “It's brilliant working together, we've known each other so long now and we can just be honest with each other, which is good for a working relationship. We just really do work well together."
Angela was redeployed at the hospice during the height of the pandemic, working with other services that needed support.
