The M62 is now back open after it was closed in the early hours of this morning when more than 120 HGV trucks got stuck in the snow.
This morning a spokesperson on the North West Motorway Police social media, stated snow ploughs and gritters were going to the clear the road after HGV's were stuck.
The motorway is now back open.
However, the North West Motorway Police are warning people to 'take care if travelling in the direction, weather could take a turn for the worse again.'
The M62 is also currently closed at juntion 7 and 8 after a HGV was involved in a road traffic collision.
The police, fire and ambulance were at the scene, both the driver and passenger were taken to hospital.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The carriageway will remain closed for a period of time.
