Teams in Bradshaw worked through the night to reopen Riding Gate from a fallen tree.
Residents in the area worked hard through up to 7am removing trees which had fallen due to the strong winds from Storm Arwen.
The road was 'completely blocked' due to a huge tree but it is now clear with some parts of the tree remaining.
Damage was caused to the surroundings including the demolition of a metal rail and significant damage to a car nearby Lower Knotts Cottage.
Although there was damage from the storm, a resident in the area said the teams 'worked so hard throughout the night and a little bit of kindness wouldn't go a miss.'
