Gunshots: The police helicopter was called into action
SUSPECTED gunshots were heard on a Bolton street yesterday evening.
Residents reported hearing shots fired at around 5.45 on Cawdor Street, Farnworth near the bowling green.
A heavy police presence, including a police helicopter were called to the scene and remained there for around 40 minutes.
Initial reports suggest that a firearm was fired but that blanks rather than live ammunition were used.
No injuries or fatalities have been reported.
