ROYAL Bolton Hospital lost all of its heating over last night.
At around 8.20pm on Saturday evening, staff at the hospital alerted the public that all heating had been lost.
A number of measures were put in place to help patients as engineers worked to restore heating.
A statement issued by Bolton NHS Foundation Trust said: "We are currently experiencing issues with our heating systems and unfortunately have lost all heating at Royal Bolton Hospital.
"As a result, we have had to divert any new admittances via ambulance and to our maternity unit.
"We are working hard with our Estates team at iFM Bolton to restore heating at the hospital, and hope to be back up and running as soon as possible.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.
"Please bear with us whilst we work through these issues."
This comes with temperatures having fallen to lows around 5° over Saturday night with strong winds.
As of Sunday morning the Trust has not yet confirmed if heating has been restored.
The Trust has advised than anyone with an urgent care need should contact NHS 111 who can help direct you to the most appropriate place to receive care.
