THE Met Office have issued a series of yellow weather warnings for Tuesday as wind and snow is expected to affect most of the UK.
This comes as a deep area of low-pressure moving in from the Atlantic, has been named Storm Barra by Met Éireann for the level of impacts expected for the Republic of Ireland.
As it moves in from west, the strongest winds and impacts are expected to affect the Republic of Ireland.
It will bring strong winds and rain, with the rain turning to snow across northern England and Scotland.
Storm Barra is the second named storm of the season.
It's name selected as part of the Name Our Storms collaboration with Irish forecasters Met Éireann and Dutch forecasters KNMI.
