WANDERERS return to League One action with a trip to the Highbury Stadium to face struggling Fleetwood (KO 7:45pm).
Ian Evatt’s men twice came from behind in an entertaining 2-2 draw against Cheltenham in their last league outing and now sit 14th in the table.
Team news
MJ Williams is back in training after suffering a dislocated shoulder and should be available for Saturday’s trip to Accrington.
Harry Brockbank is also set to return to training this week, while Amadou Bakayoko and Gethin Jones are both making progress with their respective injuries.
Meanwhile, Lloyd Isgrove and Josh Sheehan are both due to have surgery this week.
Opposition lowdown
Fleetwood find themselves in the League One drop zone after taking 15 points from their opening 19 games.
The Cod Army enter the game on the back of a 5-1 defeat at Accrington Stanley over the weekend despite Harrison Biggins’ second-half strike.
Stephen Crainey’s men had to play most of the game with 10-men after Dan Batty was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Harvey Rodgers.
Head-to-head
Wanderers have only faced Fleetwood four times in their history, having won all four matches.
The Whites recorded a 1-0 win when the sides met in the Papa John’s Trophy second round last week.
Kieran Lee scored the decisive goal, finding the bottom corner with a clinical finish 10 minutes before the break.
The result saw Evatt’s men book their place in the last 16, where they face a trip to League Two side Hartlepool.
