A BOLTON man has appeared in court charged with two carjacking offences and several vehicle thefts.
An investigation by the Bolton’s District Intelligence Unit and GMP’s Specialist Operations branch led to Joshua Gallagher, 18, being charged over a series of alleged offences in Bolton, Bury and Salford.
Gallagher, of Back Alice Street, Little Lever, has been accused of the robbery of two vans, on separate occasions, in Croft Street, Bury, and Chorley Old Road, Bolton.
He is also charged with the theft of vehicles from two locations in Bury and one in Bolton in February and March,, a shop theft, criminal damage to vehicles inHope Street, Salford, another car theft in Bolton on October 8, aggravated vehicle taking on October 1, taking a car without consent on October 30, no licence or insurance offences, and bail breaches.
Gallagher appeared before Wigan and Leigh magistrates yesterday for an initial hearing on the charges and was sent in custody to Boton Crown Court, where he will appear on January 12.
