WORKERS employed in digital roles in Bolton could be set to benefit from a new training scheme.
The Digital Skills Growth and Productivity is set to come into effect across the city region thanks to a £2million contract awarded by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
The courses on offer will focus specifically on the skills gaps identified by the digital sector such as cyber security, data analysis, information governance, digital marketing and others.
Bolton Council, which is helping to promote the scheme, says that business leaders can also benefit from specific training that will support them to move their products and services online.
This comes as Covid-19 exacerbates the need for digital ways of working.
As well as the GMCA, the programme has also been delivered as part of the regional Skills for Growth programme, funded through the European Social Fund.
