A NEW micropub in Horwich has already been a hit success since opening.

B33R@33 is a new venture which has just opened its doors on Lee Lane, offering a wide range of drinks daily.

Run by four friends, Mark Ward, Henrik Lund, Dan Martindale and Paul Speed, the micropub is already receiving great feedback and they can’t wait to welcome more customers over the festive period.

“We are really pleased and blown over by the response we have had so far, there has been really nice comments about our line-up and the welcome people have received,” said Mark.

“I must admit when we were locking up last night, it still feels so surreal that it’s actually ours and we’ve got there.”

The micropub which is open daily, offers a selection of eight various keg beers, trying to keep it exclusive with a lot of variety and a wide range of IPA’s, Pilsners, German lagers, Scottish beers, Lake District \and Dorset brands, and beers from all over the country to introduce craft beer "back into Horwich".

They also offer cask ales, like Neptune from Liverpool and Escape Brewery from Westhoughton and a wide range of red and white wines and a collection of ‘innovative spirits’.

Mark said what they really want to offer is a place for people to drink good beer and spirits with a relaxed atmosphere.

He said: “In essence we want to offer a friendly, warm welcome for anybody who comes to our door. We want to greet, meet and serve people really good craft beer but more than anything we want to offer people a good time, a relaxed atmosphere and a warm welcome.”

During the week, the micropub opens from 3pm and on weekends, the doors open at noon.

The owners are looking forward to seeing new faces over Christmas and New Year too

The four friends decided to open their own micropub after meeting each other at their local pub, Bolton Gin Tap and Cork.

They decided they wanted to bring their own micropub to the town alongside still working their full-time jobs.
