THERE was huge excitement in the town when the Peaky Blinders cast and production crew moved into Bolton in March to film scenes for the final series.

Fans gathered over six days to get a glimpse of the stars – especially Cillian Murphy.

And not even the black sheeting prevented fans from seeing their idol — even if it meant standing on bins.

Photographer Daniel Crompton was on scene to capture he action taking place on set.

Cillian, who plays Tommy, was seen running out of the former Bolton Magistrates Court, down the steps on to the Crescent, which has been transformed into a period street scene with vintage cars parked up.

Jayden Simone Kitchen, 18, is a tattoo apprentice and Peaky Blinders is a huge inspiration for her.

She said at the time: “The painting took me about eight hours altogether, I’m obsessed with the show, I have a tattoo and everything.

“It’s just mental that it’s here, it’s so close to where I live. I’ve been to Manchester trying to meet him and everything, and now he’s just five minutes away.

“I came down Monday night and I managed to see him for about two seconds, but I would love to speak with him.

“You’ve just got to hope for the best.

“I’m a tattoo apprentice - all my practice I just draw anything Peaky Blinders pretty much.”

Peaky Blinders has been filmed in Bolton before and many residents were glad to see the show was returning to the town.
