WANDERERS midfielder Ali Crawford has completed a permanent transfer to Scottish Premier League side St Johnstone.
The 30-year-old joined the Saints on loan on deadline day and has been a regular starter at McDiarmid Park in recent months.
Crawford says he is delighted to have made the move permanent and is determined to make an impact in the remaining games.
"From the moment I joined St Johnstone I had a really good feeling about the football club,” he told the club’s website.
“The lads in the dressing-room all made me feel welcome and that was very important.
"From early on, I always hoped to stay here beyond the initial loan deal and to now be signed until 2024 is great for myself and my family to have that stability.
"On a personal level, I know there is hard work ahead and I'm ready to roll my sleeves up. I want to help the team win games of football.
"We find ourselves in a position in the Premiership table that we do not want to be in. It's up to us, the players, to get us out of it and climb up the table."
Crawford re-joined the Whites in the summer of 2020, becoming Ian Evatt’s first signing since taking charge at the UniBol.
The Scot featured 24 times for Wanderers last season, scoring one goal in the 2-1 win at Stevenage.
He finished off the campaign by reuniting with Keith Hill at Tranmere but struggled to hold down a regular spot, starting just four games.
