THREE motorways are set to be closed at seven different points in Bolton and the surrounding area over the nest two weeks.

According to Highways England, each closure is likely to cause slight delays of under ten minutes.

The works are being carried in order to carry out maintenance work.

The closures will be:

• M61, from 7pm January 4 to 5am January 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M51 northbound and southbound, junction 4 exit slip roads lane closures due to signs.

• M61, from 7pm January 5 to 5am January 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, junction 6 exit slip roads lane closures due to signage.

• M61, from 8pm January 9 to 5am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 southbound, junction 4 to 3 - Lane closure for Sign removal.

• M60, from 8pm January 10 to 6am January 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 11 - 12 lane closures due to SMART Construction - improvement/Upgrading.

• M61, from 11pm January 10 to 5am February 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 northbound and southbound, junction 3 to junction 4 - Lane closure for drainage.

• M61, from 8pm January 12 to 5am January 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 southbound, Kearsley Interchange to J1 - Lane closure for Sign removal.

• M60, from 11pm January 17 to 5am January 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anticlockwise, junction 16 - 15 lane closures due to inspections.
