Every Bolton Wanderers player to wear the number 13 shirt

The pacy full-back made his debut in the defeat at Hartlepool on Tuesday night after joining on loan from Fulham.

But which other Bolton players have worn the number 13 shirt? Here is a full list according to Transfermarkt.

Aidan Davison

Bruce Rioch brought Aidan Davison to Wanderers in the summer of 1993 to provide competition for Keith Branagan.

The goalkeeper was part of the squad that won promotion to the top-flight via the play-offs in the 1994/95 season.

Davison later spent time on loan at Hull and Ipswich before joining Bradford on a free transfer in March 1997.

Peter Beardsley

Former Liverpool midfielder Peter Beardsley left Newcastle to join Wanderers in the summer of 1997.

Beardsley was a regular starter for the Whites in the 1997/98 Premier League campaign, which ended in relegation.

He also had loan spells with Manchester City and Fulham before finishing his career with Australian side Melbourne Knights.

John Gope-Fenepej

Allardyce brought John Gope-Fenepej to Wanderers on loan from French side Nantes in September 2000 after the defender impressed during a week’s trial.

The Frenchman made his debut in a 2-0 win at Norwich, coming off the bench to replace Ricardo Gardner in the closing minutes.

Youri Djorkaeff

Youri Djorkaeff – a World Cup, European Championship and UEFA Cup winner - made a surprise move to Bolton in February 2002.

At 33 years of age, Djorkaeff had seen a move to Germany turn sour and decided it was the right time to head to the Premier League.

The Frenchman scored seven goals in 2002/03 and reached double figures the following season as Sam Allardyce’s men secured an eighth-place finish.

His Bolton highlight was a remarkable goal against Charlton, which played a part in the Whites' top-flight survival.

Andy Oakes

Allardyce signed Andy Oakes on loan from Derby in the summer of 2004 as a back-up to Jussi Jaaskelainen.

The goalkeeper went on to make just one appearance for Wanderers, featuring in a 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa.

Oakes went on to have spells with Walsall, Swansea and Darlington before hanging up his boots in 2009.

Paddy Kenny

Wanderers brought in Paddy Kenny on a short-term deal in September 2014 following an injury to Adam Bogdan.

The former Leeds and QPR man didn’t feature for the Whites and joined Oldham on loan two months later.

Kenny left the UniBol at the end of the season and went on to have spells with Ipswich and Rotherham among others.

Ben Amos

Ben Amos joined Wanderers in January 2015, initially on loan from Manchester United before making the move permanent at the end of the season.

The goalkeeper went on to make 53 appearances for the Whites before having loan spells with Charlton and Millwall.

He joined the Addicks permanently in the summer of 2019 after his Bolton deal had expired and is currently at Wigan.

Paul Rachubka

Ex-Manchester United and Leeds shot-stopper Paul Rachubka joined Wanderers in September 2015.

The experienced goalkeeper spent just one season at the UniBol, making eight appearances for the Whites.

Rachubka went on to have spells with Bury and Indian side Kerala Blasters before hanging up his boots.

Ben Alnwick

Former Tottenham prospect Ben Alnwick joined Wanderers on a free transfer in the summer of 2016.

Alnwick was a regular starter in the 2017/18 campaign – making 40 appearances in total – and won the club’s Player of the Year award.

He left the UniBol by mutual consent in December 2019 after losing his place to Remi Matthews and is currently without a club.

Matt Gilks

Matt Gilks arrived at the UniBol in the summer of 2020 and went on to play a key role in the Whites’ promotion from League Two, keeping 16 clean sheets.

The veteran goalkeeper has made four appearances this season, with Joel Dixon establishing himself as first-choice goalkeeper following his move from Barrow.
