WANDERERS have enquired about signing Aberdeen midfielder Dean Campbell on loan, according to reports.

The Scottish Premiership side are willing to let the 20-year-old leave on loan to gain regular playing time, according to Football Insider.

League Two sides Port Vale and Forest Green are also reportedly keen to land the midfielder this month.

Campbell has made 73 first-team appearances for the Dons and is under contract until the end of next season.

The midfielder has represented Scotland at Under-19 level and has also been used as a full-back and on the wing during his time at Pittodrie.

He was a regular starter last season but opportunities have been hard to come by this term following the arrival of Scott Brown.

Wanderers have already brought in Dion Charles from Accrington Stanley and Marlon Fossey on loan from Fulham this month.

And Ian Evatt has hinted at a hat trick of further signings before the transfer window slams shut.

A loan deal would make sense for the Whites, with Josh Sheehan set to miss the remainder of the season due to a serious knee injury.
