Long delays on the M61 Northbound before J3 Kearsley Spur have now been cleared after an earlier accident.
There was congestion on J1, M60 Swinton Interchange, which was affecting the M60 in both directions, with delays back to J8, Carrington, and J18, M66 / M62 Simister Island.
However, the motorway is now clear.
Lanes were closed earlier this morning but traffic has since been released at 9:05am and all lanes have been re-opened.
