A MAN who was arrested over the murder of Tyrone Williamson in Bolton last month has made a second appearance in court.

Anthony George, of no fixed address, appeared at Manchester Crown Court this morning for a preliminary hearing.

He is accused of murdering Tyrone Williamson, 25, on Battenberg Road on the night of Saturday, December 11.

George, 41, was not asked to enter a plea to the allegation.

Recorder of Manchester, Judge Nicolas Dean QC, fixed a date for George to reappear at the same court on February 11, when he is expected to enter a plea.

The court heard his case is linked to another attack which took place in Lincoln Road in Bolton on the same evening ,where George was allegedly stabbed.

Roy Meanly, 28, of Rowena Street, Farnworth, Nathan Carney-Williamson, 30, of Battenberg Road, Bolton, Jason Wilding, 27, of Withington Road, Whalley Range, Manchester, and Adam Disa Green, 21, of no fixed address, have all previously been charged with his attempted murder and appeared in court.

The four will next appear before Manchester Crown Court on those allegations on January 19.
