A CRASH on Monday afternoon has caused delays and congestion along a busy stretch of motorway often used by Bolton commuters.
Transport for Greater Manchester reported at around 12.40 that a lane of the M60 going anti-clockwise had been closed between junction 13, the Worsley Interchange and junction 12, the Eccles Interchange.
Emergency services were called to the scene and traffic built up around the stretch of road up to junction 16, the Clifton Interchange as a result.
The road was cleared by around 1.10pm that same afternoon and TGfM announced that the lane had been reopened.
But the transport authority warned that congestion remained along the stretch of road and advised drivers to expect delays and allow extra time for their journeys.
TGfM said that its staff and the emergency services thanks road users for their patience.
No serious injuries have been reported as a result of the crash.
