A SECONDARY school is shut today after a pipe burst.
Ladybridge High School is closed as repair work gets underway.
The school sent out an emergency text to parents yesterday evening warning about the temporarily closure.
A statement on the school's website reads: "Emergency School Closure – Tuesday 18 January
"Due to unexpected circumstances, school will be closed tomorrow. Information has been sent to parents/carers this evening via email and text."
And pupils are today learning remotely so they do not miss out on lessons.
The bust pipe has meant there is no running water in the school.
Deputy headteacher Ann Zammit said: "We had no choice but to close and go to remote learning for today because there is no running water in the school.
"The canteen also can't legally open when there is no running water on site."
The school is expected to reopen as soon as the pipes are in working order again.
Mock exams have been rescheduled as a result
