A MAN has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a man who was assaulted last week.
Liam O'Brien, 37 of Leyfield Road, Liverpool was arrested after a confrontation on Waterfold Business Park, Heywood on Thursday January 13.
Police were called to the scene at around 4.10pm to investigate and established that an attack had taken place in which a 34-year-old man, who has since been identified as Craig Fitzpatrick, was assaulted.
Emergency services were also called and Mr Fitzpatrick was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries on Sunday January 16.
O'Brien has now been charged with one count of manslaughter and has been remanded in custody.
He will appear before Manchester Magistrates Court later today.
