FOUR teenagers have been arrested after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death in Stretford.
Police were called by the ambulance service to Thirlwell Avenue after a stabbing just before 7pm last night, Saturday.
The victim, a 16-year-old boy had been left in a serious condition after suffering injuries consistent with stab wounds, police said.
The boy was taken to hospital but died a short time later.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP said the boy's family have been informed and will receive ongoing support from the force's specially-trained officers.

Following the tragedy, GMP's Major Incident Team arrested four teenagers after three warrants were carried out last night in Stretford, Old Trafford and Hulme.
The suspects are all boys aged between 15 and 17, and are being held on suspicion of murder.
A large police scene remains in place around Thirlwell Avenue.
Police tents have been set up on Thirlmere Avenue and Coniston Road.

Further cordons are also in place as detectives continue with their enquiries.
