AN INCIDENT has closed part of a major Bolton road this afternoon with police called to the scene.
Eye witnesses reported seeing part of Chorley Old Road in Bolton taped off at around 11am on Sunday morning after what appeared to have been an incident in which a car hit a house along the road.
Police officers were called to the scene and part of the road was taped off with a police van and car in attendance.
The road cuts all the way through Horwich and into Bolton town centre.
The number of vehicles, the cause of the crash and whether any injuries have been sustained is yet to be confirmed.
