THE organiser of a popular music festival in the borough has started a new journey this month, as he became the manager of The Market Hotel Pub on Brackley Street.

Gary Daniels, who is well known across Farnworth for his hit success, Farnworth Live Music Festival, will bring his success to The Market Hotel Pub as he becomes the new manager and he says cannot wait to get started.

Speaking of his new adventure, Gary said: “After so many years being associated with The De Havilland Club and then seeing how the local community embraced Farnworth Live, I made the decision that I wanted to deliver a family venue of my own on a daily basis.

“Myself and the team are really excited about what’s to come with regular entertainment, midweek themed evenings and of course the reopening of the kitchen.”

Many local people took to social media when they found out Gary was becoming manager, stating it is fantastic news.

One resident said: “Well if its the Gary Daniels I know from De Havilland, it should be a well run boozer.”

Farnworth and Kearsley First Group, Cllr Maureen Flitcroft, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Gary as the new manager at the Market Hotel on Brackley Street.

“Gary has vast experience in the entertainment industry gained from a very young age and we are sure this will help Gary make a huge success of his latest venture, diversifying the offer for our residents.

The Bolton News:

“The pub itself is in a prime location in the centre of our town and I am sure with all that is happening with regards to the regeneration in the coming months , this can only boost business for Gary.

“Gary of course is a true Farnworthian having put on Farnworth Live and the Christmas Markets last year and the upcoming two day Farnworth Live 2022.

“He is very community focused and even compared the Farnworth Town Centre Christmas Lights switch on for us in December which was a great success.

“We wish Gary and his team all the best.”

Kicking off his management, Gary has brought back live entertainment for local residents to enjoy, with the first performance from Carlyemma who came all the way from Cyprus for one night of entertainment.

There are more entertainment nights in the future, live football matches being shown and quiz nights for those who like to get a bit competitive.

Gary started his new adventure as licensee on February 3 and is hoping to see everyone pop in as he starts his new adventure.
