GREATER Manchester Police (GMP) has named a Merseyside man who has been charged in connection with the rape of a woman in Wigan.
Gregory Padin, 42, of Liverpool Road North, Maghull has been charged with rape.
He was remanded in custody until a hearing at Wigan Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, February 15 2022).
A spokesperson for GMP said: "On Sunday, February 13 2022, police received a report that a woman in her 20s had been raped by a man."
