WANDERERS winger Lloyd Isgrove has stepped up his recovery after having surgery to repair a torn hamstring.

The Welshman hasn’t featured since he was forced off during a 3-0 win against Doncaster back in November.

This morning, he shared a picture of his football boots on his Instagram page and said he was back on the grass.

However, it’s worth noting that the winger isn’t expected to be back in the first-team picture until at least April.

Last week, Ian Evatt revealed Isgrove and Josh Sheehan had been given some time off before the next stage of their recoveries.

The Bolton boss said: “We’ve given Lloyd some time off at the moment. Obviously, he’s nowhere near being fit yet – he probably won’t be available until April time.

“Josh is the same. He’s recovering really well. He’s on schedule, just having some time away.

“He’s gone on his holiday somewhere because he’ll probably have to work throughout the summer with what he’s missed.

“It can be really challenging – the same thing every day, the same four walls.

“He needs to freshen up his mind so we’ve given him some time off and he’ll come back and come into the later stage of his recovery.”

Evatt will be hoping to have Isgrove back for the final games of the season as Wanderers aim to make a late play-off push.
