WIMBLEDON boss Mark Robinson admits he might have to “think outside the box” when picking a team for Saturday’s clash with Wanderers.

The Dons are without Ayoub Assal and Luke McCormick, who are both suspended following last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland.

Anthony Hartigan and Jack Rudoni are also likely to miss out through injury, but Robinson remains confident his side can get something from the game.

“I have possibly got to think outside the box a little bit but I believe that we have got enough ability and enough talent,” he told the club’s website.

“We went to Wycombe with a similar situation and came out of that really well – we should have come out of that with three points and not one. I am confident that we will be fine.

“The momentum from Saturday has been really good. Everyone knows that we’re close. We now need to get the three points across the line. It’s key that we stay relaxed, but we need to keep that competitiveness high.

“We’ve lost 12 and in all bar four of those games we’ve always been competitive. We’ve got to change those small margins so that they go in our favour.”

The Dons sit 20th in the League One table - one point above the drop zone despite having played a game fewer than most of their relegation rivals.

The points were shared when the sides met back in August following a thrilling 3-3 draw at Plough Lane, with Eoin Doyle, Josh Sheehan and Dapo Afolayan on target for the Whites.

“I did take a look back at the game in the summer. Obviously, things change but they were a very good side then and they’re a very good side now,” added Robinson.

“They’re very dangerous on transition and we’re fully aware of the challenge ahead but we have to focus on what we do."
