Bolton Burnden Park and Farnworth Asda Community Champions put on their walking boots and completed a sponsored walk for ‘Our Bolton NHS Charitable Trust ‘on February 12.
They took part in the Small Things, Big Strides challenge and completed 18,538 steps , the walk began at the Turton Tower and went around the Entwistle reservoir.
Christine Baldwin Bolton store community champion said: “We wanted to get behind this challenge which encourages people to enjoy the countryside whilst raising funds for our fantastic NHS.”
The charity has raised £8,000 so far helping to provide a twin cot for the neonatal unit , Christmas presents for over 900 patients, mindfulness games and resources for older children with mental health crisis.
