BUSINESSWOMEN across Bolton and beyond are invited to attend a special event designed to help them get the most from 2022.

Bolton Lads and Girls Club (BLGC) is holding its first Women in Business Lunch on Friday at the Brookfield Hall in Westhoughton.

The event is sponsored by Little Lever company Stanmore Insurance and is the first in a series of BLGC events aimed at helping local businesswomen to grow, network and develop together.

At the lunch, there will be a panel of local women business leaders for a question and answer session, tackling current and future problems and issues.

The event is hosted by Claire-Marie Boggiano, a business change and leadership development professional.

The panel consists of managing director of Four Recruitment Claire Sofield, chief executive of Bolton Lads and Girls Club Karen Edwards, managing director of Ladderstore Gail Hounslea, managing director of Stanmore Insurance Jackie Hyde and entrepreneur and business mentor Joanne Geddes-Hold.

BLGC relationship manager Laura Pendlebury said: “This event is for like-minded women from all walks of business and at different points in their journey.

“We wanted to get them together and work together to elevate their professional careers and smash through those glass ceilings.

"These women also provide the role models and mentors who help the next generation of businesswomen to succeed.”

Tickets for the event are £35 each and include a networking buffet lunch with all proceeds going to supporting BLGC’s targeted work with young females at the club.
