THOUSANDS of children...and teachers, got in the literary spirit yesterday around Bolton to dress up in costumes and celebrate World Book Day.
We were inundated with lots of superb photographs by parents of their kids in their best on the 25th anniversary since it first started.
There have been the traditional characters out of Harry Potter, The Gingerbread Man, Alice in Wonderland, the Hungry Caterpillar and Hansel and Gretel.
Here are some of our personal favourite photographs that you have been sending in such as Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Little Red Riding Hood and Cruella de Vil.
One of the more interesting choices was Queen Alexa who had a royal theme to World Book Day as well as Sarah Welsby's daughter dressing as a book.
We are featuring more of your great entries in a supplement in Monday’s Bolton News so make sure you pick up a copy.
