SEVERAL motorists have recently been fined for speeding on the A666 St Peter’s Way.

The road is one of the major routes into Bolton and is subject to a 50mph speed limit, monitored by average speed cameras.

The following cases all called at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court.

Wayne Fee was penalised for going at 59mph between Bradford Street and Raikes Lane in February last year.

The case against the 25-year-old was proven in his absence last month.

Fee, from Ascot Walk in Salford, was fined £220 and given three points on his licence.

Mark McGaughey drove at 62mph between the same spots in April last year.

The case against the 49-year-old was proved in his absence in January.

McGaughey, from Maze Street in Bolton, was fined £220 and banned from the roads for six months due to repeat offending.

Claire Lister drove at 62mph in the same spot in June last year.

The case against the 37-year-old was proved in January.

Lister, from Blackburn Road in Egerton, was fined £220 and given three points on her licence.

Paul Mainwaring drove at 58mph, also between Bradford Street and Raikes Lane, in July last year.

The 51-year-old admitted the offence last month.

Mainwaring, from Deane Church Lane in Bolton, was fined £40 and given three points on his licence.

Jason Beeching drove at 57mph between the same two roads at 57pmh in February last year.

The case against the 46-year-old was proved in July last year.

Beeching, from Kingsland Road in Birmingham, was fined £220 and given three points on his licence.

Akram Patel drove at 65mph at the same spot in June last year.

The case against the 27-year-old was proven in January.

Following this Patel, from Wellington Street West in Salford, was fined £220 and given three points on his licence.

Harminder Sekhon drove at 60mph between Church Road and Bradford Street in July last year.

The case against the 47-year-old was proved in February.

Following this Sekhon, from Tensing Close in Warrington was fined £220 and given three points on his licence.
