A Bolton actress is once again becoming the star of the show after the pandemic and she is so excited that 150 of her pupils will be able to see her living her dream.

Bolton's own Emma Matthews will wow the crowd once again at the Palace Theatre in Manchester as she takes to the stage as Mrs Trafe in the "bum fresh" sensation that is David Walliams, "Billionare Boy".

The UK tour which comes straight from its West End success last year is back with full force.

Emma Matthews, Co Owner and Founder of Bolton and Bury based Theatre Works, will be back where she belongs performing alongside a talented cast to tell the story of the “Bum Fresh Billionaire Boy”.

Theatre Works, co-founded by Emma and her best friend Lauren Denton, has been teaching kids the art of theatre for the past decade.

With over 30 years’ experience in the industry, Emma and Lauren teach more than 150 pupils from across the Bury and Bolton area.

Their ethos is “Learn by doing” so students are constantly working on their next live production.

A spokesperson for Theatre Works said: "What makes this stop of the UK tour so special for Emma is that her pupils get to see her living her dream of performing on one of the best theatres in the country.

"Showing them that if you work hard at what you want in life it will become a reality.

"Dream, Believe, Achieve has been a mantra of the school since it opened and over the years has grown from strength to strength.

"The pupils themselves have had some fantastic opportunities to also perform at some great theatres, from the Blackpool Opera House to Sadler’s Wells Theatre London.

"Constantly striving to bring out the best in all their students.

"Emma is bursting with excitement for this leg of the tour as she not only gets to share it with the students and people she cares about, but she gets to perform again at the Palace Theatre where she performed as a child actor alongside her business partner and friend Lauren."

Emma is extremely excited to see her Theatre Works family on Friday as 150 members watch her take the stage as the hilarious Mrs Trafe.

The show runs from March 9 until March 12 and is a must see for all the family.
