THEATRE fans in Bolton have until Saturday to see a joyous comedy that has entertained audiences for almost 250 years.
‘She Stoops To Conquer’ follows the story of Mr Hardcastle who wants his daughter, Kate, to marry Marlow, the son of his old friend Sir Charles.
But Hardcastle’s boisterous, mischievous stepson, Tony Lumpkin plays a practical joke and sets off a chain of mishaps, including mistaken identity, giving the play its alternative title ‘The Mistakes of a Night’.
The comedy was originally wrote by Oliver Goldsmith, and first performed in London in 1773.
The comedy is only running until this Saturday at the Bolton Little Theatre.
Tickets are priced at £11 including the booking fee.
