A MAN was attacked after confronting three men who were behaving suspiciously outside his home.
Police said the men fled the scene in a stolen car, a blue Mazda, which was later found burnt out.
The incident in Belmont Road, Belmont, happened at 7pm last Tuesday. Details have just emerged.
The victim was not badly hurt, but police said they are now hunting the three men in connection with the assault.
Police said the car being used by the gang had been stolen earlier in Manchester and was equipped with fake plates. It was found abandoned and burning near Haslingden Road.
