A BOLTON born investment banker with a leading firm has won a scholarship to study for an MBA at leading university.
Daanish Hussain, from Bolton and a graduate of Edinburgh University, hopes to represent his town in the world of international high finance and develop his career with further studies.
This marks the latest step in a long journey for the former Mount St Joseph Secondary School Pupil, who has since gone on to work for Goldman Sachs and Epic Equity.
Colleague Awais Altaf said: “His primary motivation is that he is the first from his school to go into investment banking.
“So for me that was the genesis of it, to show to some of the younger guys coming up that here’s someone who’s been able to go into the investment banking sector, who’s proven a lot of people wrong in a way and so if he can do it, they can too.”
Mr Hussain will now begin his executive MBA in international business, again at Edinburgh University, and hopes to continue making his hometown proud.
