AN investigation is underway after a fight between students.
The fight was between a student from Canon Slade School and another school.
It is understood the fight broke outside Canon Slade on Bradshaw Brow.
Staff say they immediately intervened after spotting the fighting.
They emphasised that this ‘behaviour is rare’ and an investigation is currently underway.
Headteacher Karen Sudworth said: “We are aware of a fight that took place yesterday away from the school site involving a student from our school and a student from another school.
“Our staff promptly intervened for the safety of the students.
“This kind of behaviour is rare at our school, and we are taking the matter extremely seriously. The cause and events are currently being fully investigated.”
The school says the police were made aware of the incident.
