POLICE are stepping up patrols around Bolton due to a hike in anti-social behaviour.
Officers were out in Bolton last night following reports from concerned members of the public.
A police spokesman said: "Officers have been patroling in and around the Bolton area this evening following several reports of anti-social behaviour."
Last month officers were seen patrolling in Bolton, with a a special operation running at Bolton Interchange after a number of incidents including violence.
During the February patrols, police community support officers came across a reported stolen car.
Neighbourhood officers also targeted the Great Lever area and urged residents to get in touch with any issues.
Officers have stepped up patrol in recent months in response to anti-social behaviour, targeting different areas.
Previously officers have focused on Horwich - which led to a dispersal order being put in place, banning youths from congregating.
