TODDLERS were more than egg-cited when the Easter bunny decided to drop-in on them.
The Easter bunny paid a visit to parents and their young children.
Children were surprised with special Easter gifts.
They also took part in an Easter egg hunt, decorating eggs and, of course, talking to the Easter bunny.
Beaumont Busy Bees is held for parents, babies and toddlers every Wednesday morning at Beaumont Primary School.
Together they take part in arts, crafts as well as singing and dancing.
The sessions are run by deputy headteacher, Dale Sumner and teaching assistant Karen Grainger.
The club was set up after Covid.
Dale, who said children loved the fun Easter activity, said: " We knew that lots of playgroups had stopped during Covid and never started up again so the parents in our local community were telling us that they had nowhere to take their babies and toddlers.
"That’s when we had the idea for Beaumont Busy Bees and thought it would be lovely to do something for our local community.
"We run the sessions each week and it has been wonderful to watch the children grow in confidence and parents have enjoyed the chance to get to know each other too."
Hannah Dyson, mum to Matilda aged 26 months, said: “Matilda has never been to any playgroup before due to being born during the pandemic. Busy Bees has been an excellent resource for us. She absolutely loves to play with all the other children and enjoys the singing and dancing activities each week."
Sarah Richardson, mum to Freya aged 20 months, added: “The chance to meet other mums and dads has been brilliant.
"The opportunities my daughter has to participate in activities we wouldn’t normally do at home has been wonderful. Freya has become so much sociable since coming to Busy Bees - we love it.”
Afshan Aljilani, parent to Ibrahim, aged 10 months, said: “The Busy Bees session has been absolutely brilliant for my son and for myself. It is one of the best playgroups I have attended. My son was born during Covid-19 so spent much of his first few months in isolation.
"This playgroup has been intricate to his development. Each week there’s a new theme, with a variety of different fun activities to do. Each week ends with a group singing and dancing session which the children - and parents - love. The setting is relaxed and welcoming and both; the teachers and setting, project a warmth and kindness that make you feel special. My son has gained valuable skills coming to Busy Bees. The qualities this group has offered has been fantastic for us. Mrs Sumner and Mrs Grainger are brilliant with the children. Their genuine passion and enthusiasm shines through during the wonderful sessions and this is reflected in seeing how much my son, and the other children, love Busy Bees."
