Communities across the borough are coming together today for a big Easter Spring clean up - and everyone is invited.

The Bolton at Home Communities team have planned various clean ups across Bolton today to rid the streets of litter.

The first Spring clean up will be at Moses Gate Estate on Devon Street car park from 10am until 11am.

The second clean up will be at New Bury Estate at the UCAN Centre from 11:30am until 12:30pm.

And the final clean up will be at Mossfield Meadows on Mossfield Road from 1:30pm until 2:30pm.

A spokesperson for Bolton at Home said the initiative was designed to help clean up our streets.

They said: "A litter picking activity to help clean up our streets.

"Every child that gets involved recieves an Easter treat.

"Children must be accompanied by an adult."

Cllr Tracey Wilkinson said the litter picking initiative is great to show children how to care for the environment.

She said: "Join the Bolton at Home Communities team with this litter picking initiative.

"It is great to show our children how to care for our environment, as well as keeping active and fit and something to occupy the kids over the Easter holidays, so come along and get involved!"

If you would like to get involved, head down to one of these spots and get involved, every child involved recieves a lovely Easter treat.
