A BANNED driver has been ordered to do 250 hours of unpaid work after he was caught behind the wheel of a Renault Modus on Darley Street, Bolton, on March 10. Roland Lakatos, aged 27, of Hughes Street, Bolton, pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified and without insurance as well as obstructing a police officer. He was banned from applying for a licence for three years.

MAGISTRATES have fined David Whitehead £220 after finding him guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Knowsley Street, Bolton, on January 30. The case against Whitehead, aged 57, of Wilderswood Avenue, Horwich, was proved.

MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to be electronically tagged after he repeatedly messaged a woman in September last year. Lee Needham, aged 27, of Richmond Street, Horwich, pleaded guilty to harassing the woman. He was sentenced to an 8pm to 6am curfew for eight weeks and must participate in 20 days of rehabilitation activities.

A THIEF stole six packets of razor blades, worth £109, from Asda at Astley Bridge on February 22. David Chadwick, aged 50, of Eden Street, Bolton, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was sentenced to a conditional discharge for 12 months.

A JAGUAR driver had drunk more than three times the legal level of alcohol when he was caught on Wigan Road, Bolton, on February 11. Luigi-iulian Iacob, aged 40, of Rochdale Road, Bury, pleaded guilty to drink-driving. He was sentenced to 100 hours of unpaid work and banned from driving for 26 months.

A MAN failed to name a Mercedes driver who was alleged to have committed an offence on September 22 last year. Mohammed Hussain, aged 28, of Armadale Road, Bolton, was fined £660 and six points were added to his licence.

A TEENAGER who was caught driving a stolen car has been spared jail. Jack Davies, aged 18, of Knutshaw Crescent, Bolton, pleaded guilty to handling a stolen Kia Rio and also admitted driving the vehicle on Knutshaw Crescent on November 17 last year without a licence or insurance. He was sentenced to 26 weeks in detention, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to undertake 250 hours of unpaid work. Davies was banned from applying for a driving licence for six months.

MAGISTRATES have fined two men £100 each after they were caught begging in Bolton. Craig Dyer, aged 36, of no fixed address had been asking for cash on July 22 last year. John Muir, aged 42, of Bradford Street, Bolton, was caught begging in Trinity Street and Blackhorse Street, Bolton, on August 21 last year.

A MOTORIST who had no licence or insurance has been convicted of careless driving on Vicarage Road, Bolton, on July 16 last year. Joshua Nuttall, aged 22, of Century Lodge, Farnworth, admitted committing the offences in a Renault Kadjar and possessing cocaine. He was fined a total of £360 and banned from applying for a driving licence for 14 months.

A MAN has been sentenced to a conditional discharge for two years after he twice damaged a woman’s property in Bolton. Ben Cornes, aged 28, of Station Road, Swinton, committed the offences on July 10 and October 21 last year. He was ordered to pay his victim £110 in compensation.

A WOMAN has been ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work after she assaulted a police officer and used threatening behaviour in Bolton on March 5. Carys Looms, aged 32, of Stoneclough Road, Bolton, was also ordered to pay £50 in compensation.

MAGISTRATES have banned a man from applying for a driving licence for 91 days after he was caught drink driving on the A666 St Peter’s Way on March 15. Aaron Brassington, aged 28, of Cross Street, Burton on Trent admitted driving the Kia Ceed while over the alcohol limit and without a licence or insurance. He was fined £120.

MAGISTRATES have jailed a man for eight weeks after he persistently ignored a driving ban. Tibor Horvath, 37, of Victoria Grove, Bolton, pleaded guilty to driving a BMW 525 on Trinity Street, Bolton, on February 3 whilst banned and without insurance and also admitted driving a Transit van on the A6 on April 7 without insurance. Horvath was banned from applying for a licence for two years.

A DRIVER has been banned from the roads for six months after he was caught behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra on Marsden Road, Bolton, on May 29 last year without a licence or insurance. Kedir Ogeto, 30, of Rostherne Gardens, Bolton, was fined £230.
