Various road will be closed in May for vital electricity works.

Clifton Drive will be closed for approximately one week from May 3 so works can take place.

The road closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Clifton Drive outside number 51.

Traffic travelling on Mayor Street will also be impacted by electricity works.

The road will have a one-way traffic restriction fromon Mayor Street from Ellesmere Street to Spa Road, permitted direction of travel northbound, to allow electricity works to take place.

The traffic restriction will begin on May 21 for approximately two days.

To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.

Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
